Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, begin your journey southwest to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem among Tanzania’s wildlife destinations. The scenic drive takes approximately 2.5 hours and offers glimpses of local villages, open countryside, and the distant silhouette of the Great Rift Valley. Upon entering the park, you’ll immediately be greeted by its iconic landscape—massive baobab trees, rolling savannahs, and the life-giving Tarangire River, a vital water source that draws animals year-round.
Spend the day on an exciting full-day game drive, where you’ll have the chance to encounter Tanzania’s largest population of elephants, as well as lions lounging in the shade, graceful giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and over 500 bird species including the colorful lilac-breasted roller and endemic yellow-collared lovebird.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated spot inside the park, surrounded by nature and wildlife sounds. After an enriching day of exploration, head to your lodge or tented camp near the park for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you’ll depart from Tarangire and begin a scenic drive north toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic safari destinations. This unforgettable journey takes you through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering panoramic views of highlands, volcanic craters, and Maasai villages.
Along the way, you may choose to make an optional stop at Olduvai Gorge information center, a world-famous archaeological site known as the "Cradle of Mankind," where some of the earliest human fossils were discovered.
As you enter the Serengeti Plains, the landscape transforms into vast open savannahs teeming with wildlife. After check-in at your lodge or tented camp, head out for an afternoon game drive to catch your first glimpse of the park’s incredible inhabitants—cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, and possibly the Great Migration, depending on the season.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to fully immersing yourself in the magic of Serengeti National Park—a place where nature reigns supreme. Begin with a sunrise game drive, the best time to witness big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they hunt or patrol their territory. The golden morning light also makes for spectacular photography.
You’ll drive across diverse landscapes—acacia woodlands, river valleys, and vast grasslands—each hosting its own wildlife treasures. Watch elephants bathing in muddy rivers, giraffes browsing tall trees, and crocodiles lurking near watering holes.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot meal (depending on your preference), and then set out again in the afternoon as the animals become active once more.

Day 5: Another Full Day In Serengeti Game Drive
After a peaceful night surrounded by the sounds of the African bush, your adventure continues with another exciting day in the legendary Serengeti. Today is all about venturing further into the park to discover new wildlife encounters and hidden corners of this vast wilderness.
Begin the day with an early morning game drive, when the animals are most active and the soft morning light brings the savannah to life. Watch for predators like lions and cheetahs on the move, herds of elephants crossing open plains, or giraffes grazing among acacia trees.
As the day warms, take time to enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to your lodge for a hot meal—whichever you prefer.
In the afternoon, set out again for a scenic game drive, exploring different ecosystems within the park. You might spot large hippo pods soaking in muddy pools, leopards resting in trees, or huge herds of antelope grazing in the golden grasslands.
Return to your lodge or camp at sunset, where a delicious dinner and a relaxing evening await—another day of unforgettable safari memories in the books.

Day 6: Serengeti To Ngorongoro Crater
Rise early in the heart of the Serengeti and set off on your journey to one of Africa’s most breathtaking natural wonders—the Ngorongoro Crater. As you drive through the Serengeti plains, enjoy one final game drive en route, with a chance to spot early-morning wildlife like lions, zebras, or hyenas.
Arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—all within a single day.
The Crater’s lush landscapes, soda lakes, and open grasslands provide sanctuary to an incredible variety of animals. Watch herds of wildebeest and gazelle grazing peacefully, marvel at the sight of hippos submerged in the water, and scan the open plains for elusive predators.

Day 7: Departure – Farewell & Reflections
After an unforgettable safari adventure through Tanzania’s most iconic destinations, today marks the end of your journey with Extra Passion Safaris.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge, followed by a scenic drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief stop at a local craft shop for some last-minute souvenirs or a relaxing lunch in town.
Our team will then transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey, carrying with you beautiful memories, breathtaking photos, and stories that will last a lifetime.
